IIT HSEE-2016 Cutoff MarksIIT HSEE-2016: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras has successfully conducted the Humanities & Social Sciences Entrance Examination (HSEE) on 17th April 2016. The notification had received big response earlier, many had applied for the exam and it was conducted well. The exam is an entrance test for admissions into integrated Master of Arts (M.A) in Development Studies and an integrated M.A in English Studies programs for the academic year 2016. Ahead of the exam, the applicants await for admit cards and exam pattern.

IIT HSEE-2016 Cutoff Marks 2016 & Ranking: The candidates of General category must get 50% marks in HSEE-2016 in order to be in General category rank list, OBC category must score at least 45% in order to be in OBC rank list. SC/ST/PWD candidates need to get at least 25% o be in their respective rank list. Rank list will be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks obtained in the HSEE-2016.

IIT HSEE-2016 Examination pattern: The online written exam consists of two parts i.e. Part I and Part II. Part I consists of objective type multiple choice questions for 2½ hours duration (150 minutes). Topics covered in HSEE-2016 Part-I exam are English and Comprehension Skill, Analytical and Quantitative Ability, General Studies covering the areas of Indian Economics (since Independence), Indian Society, Contemporary, World Affairs (post-World War II) and Environment and Ecology. HSEE-2016 Part-II exam consists of essay writing for 30 minutes, to be written on answer sheet given to the candidates at the part I end. Candidate need to write an essay on the general topic involving description, or/and reflection or/and discussion.

It conducts Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Examination (HSEE), which is an entrance test for admission into the five-year integrated Master of Arts (MA) program and is an IIT Madras specific exam.
