Dismissed Indian Air Force official arrested for ‘spying’ for Pakistan’s ISI


New Delhi Police arrested the Indian Air force officials for the cause of passing on information to intelligence operatives suspected to be backed by Pakistan’s Inter Service Intelligence (ISI).

Leading aircraftman Ranjith K K, was arrested from the Air Force Station of Batinda on Monday, with the joint operation by the New Delhi Police Crime Branch, Military Intelligence and Air Force Liaison Unit. After his arrest, Ranjith was dismissed from service and brought to Delhi.

According to JCP Ravindra Yadav, Ranjith was lured over the internet by the sources, Ranjith received voice over internet protocol (VOIP)-based calls on his mobile phone in which the other party, a woman with a British accent, introduced herself as Damini McNaught an executive of a news magazine.
